Biography :
Son of Jean-François HUBERT, Jean Jules HUBERT emigrated with his parents in 1852. They were farmers in Oil, Perry County.
That there was poor accomodation at the camp and he had to sleep on the ground and took cold. In July 1862, by hard marching and exposure, contracted the disease of pneumonia fever, and stricture of the urethra. After getting partial relief from the fever, he became afflicted with bronchittes. He was first taken to hospital n° 5 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee for about one month, then he was sent to convalescent camp in the same place.
He never recovered entirely and got worse every year since his discharge.He has somewhat recovered of the disease of suppression of .... but that his kidney disease still trouble him.
He left Leopold in 1869 for Clarck Township, also in Perry County. In 1889 was at Apalona, same County and removed to Kinmundy, Marion County, Illinois in (1908 ?)
