Biography :
Theodore Rosbourne (Rosbonne) from Chicago. He emigrated from Belgium on ship Antarctic, arrival in New York on August 16, 1855, a laborer 46 y.o. born on December 4, 1809 in Nil-Saint-Martin, Brabant wallon, Belgium. He was with his wife Mary Renoir, 46 y.o. and his children: Desiré 19, Theodore 18, Marie 11, Joseph 10, Victoire (?).
He bought land in Menasha, Wisconsin in 1858 but no trace of Rosbonne in the 1860 and 1870 censuses. Same result in the following ones. It seems the family left the States or completely changed his name.
Theodore Rosbonne was admitted in the Soldiers' Home on February 24, 1875, a single, 75 y.o., a mason by trade. Residence Oconto, Wisconsin. Nearest relative, his son Theodore, living in Oconto, Wisconsin.
He died of Phtisis in the Home Hospital on November 13, 1881 and is buried in Home Cemetery Block 1, row 10 (Section 1, site 348). No other information found.
