The Catholic Missions

Gustave Limpins appointed priest of St James' parish. The new pastor was born at Ghent, Belgium, April 9, 1839, studied at the college of Louvain, and was there ordained priest. He came to the United States in 1863, was appointed pastor of the Church of "Our Lady of Help " at Detroit, where be was residing at the date of his appointment as pastor of St. James. Father Limyins died here Jan. 8.5, 1881, and was interred in the Catholic cemetery Jan. 27.
