From the same source:
In the information that I have, I found that the William and Sarah (Sturges) Bunce who had so many property deals in Egremont and Mount Washington [Berkshire Co., MA], were married 4 November 1812, at the Kinderhook Reformed Dutch Church in Nobletown [now Hillsdale], Columbia Co., N.Y. In the 1850 Federal Census, William and Sarah Bunce and son William (b. in N.Y.) in the Town of Wilton, Saratoga Co., N.Y. The last date they were found in Massachusetts was 1831, so they may have moved to Wilton at that time. John Bunce, son of Wm. and Sarah, b. Ma. S1831, P.O. Wiltonville, N.Y., farmer.
A William Bunce (wife Mary) died 3 November 1852 [probably in Berkshire Co., Mass., possibly a descendant of Ephraim Bunce]. The heirs were children William, Ira, Abiram, John and Ephraim Bunce; Rufus Clark, Rebecca Wells, each to receive $26.40 3/8; Sarah Kellogg and Nancy Hawley, children of deceased daughter, Laura Kellogg, each to receive $13.20 3/16, (one-half of a full share).
In another letter, Dorothy (Lundbom) Bunce stated that William and Mary were the parents of the William who married Sarah Sturges, but she did not state her sources in the letter. Interestingly, there is a record on an Index to Insolvency Papers for a man named Abiram Bunce in the records of Warren Co., New York, but the date is much earlier, 1829.
The following is quoted from letter dated 15 April 1982 from Dorothy (Bunce) Lundbom to Bonnie Bunce, her niece:

Email message from Kim Mortimer, dated May 16, 2004:
I have contacted you in the past regarding my search for my husbands Bunce family line. I thought I would inform you of what I have discovered. I have finally found Sherman Grant Bunce. He married Minnie Viola Willie and they had three daughters, June, Edith and Bonnie. Bonnie Bethene is my husband's maternal grandmother. I found Sherman on the Florida 1920 Census (it was misspelled "Bunch") and through that information found out that he was born in 1865. Since then, I have found a Sherman G. Bunce b. in 1865 in Iowa. (My Sherman and his wife, Minnie were both born in Iowa.) On the US 1870 Census for Mason City, Cerro Gordo Co., IA, the father is George L. Bunce, mother is Lucy D. and children are Augusta, Ida, Simon, Minnie and Sherman G. Do you have any connections or information on this line of Bunces?
I wrote some information down that I found on another search, but to my frustration, I forgot to put a reference as to where I found it in my notes. George Lafayette Bunce, married Lucy D. Ford and their children were listed as Sabra E. b. 1850, Augusta b. 1855, Ida May b. 1857 (married Thomas Chancellor DeLong 10/6/1875), Simon b. 1860, Minnie b. 1863, and Sherman G. b. 1865.
This would appear to be the same family as on the IA 1870 Census, but listing Sabra E., who is not listed on the Census, as the first born.
Even if you dont have any of these Bunces, maybe you can pass this information on to someone who could use it.
Note: This family may have been descended from Isaac and Anna (Sherwood) Bunce, because two of their sons died in Tama Co., Iowa and Cerro Gordo County is a few counties north of Tama County. Also it appears that a record of the family of George L. Bunce is on the 1850 census for Kanakee, LaPorte Co., Indiana.
