The first collection of records was copied from a book that was found at the Free Library of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania entitled: Record of the Inscriptions on the Tablets and Grave-stones of Christ Church, Philadelphia, compiled and arranged at the request of vestry by Edward L. Clark, printed in Philadelphia: Collins, Printer, 705 Jayne Street, 1864.

I. Sacred to the memory of HUGH DEHAVEN who died on the 5th day of August in the year of our Lord 1825 In the 71st year of his age. Also his wife SARAH DEHAVEN who died on the 3rd day of March in the year of our Lord 1822 in the 66th year of her age. His soul, we hope, is with his God, An angel’s bliss to find; He bravely bore the human rod, This world with ease resigned. She is not dead, but sleepeth. We all fade as a leaf.

MARY who died April 18th 1782 Aged 10 months. MARIA who died December 10th 1785 Aged 10 months. JULIAN who died March 3rd, 1802 Aged 11 years and 4 months. All children of Hugh & Sarah DeHaven and Grandchildren of Sarah DeHaven. III. Sacred to the memory of PETER DEHAVEN who departed this life November 11th 1815 in the 96th year of his age. X. Sacred to the memory of CHRISTIANNA SYNG wife of Hugh Dehaven who departed this life November 30th 1830 Aged 34 years 8 months and 2 days. God, my redeemer, lives, And ever from the skies Looks down and watches all my dust Till he shall bid it rise.
XI. Sacred to the memory of CHARLES BUNTING Son of Hugh & Christianna S. Dehaven who departed this life September 20th 1832 Aged 3 years 3 months and 18 days Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me; for such is the Kingdom of Heaven.
