Nathaniel Bacon, b. ca. 1630, parish of Stretton, County Rutland, England, m. ca. 1660, in Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, to Ann Miller, b. 1640, Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, (dau. of Thomas Miller who d. at over age 70 on 14 Aug 1680, and his wife Isabel _____, who d. 1666), who d. at Middletown, and was bur. there. Nathaniel also d. at Middletown, Connecticut. Nathaniel’s father was William Bacon, b. ca. 1608, who had a “numerous” family in Stretton (or Stretland?) parish, County Rutland, England. Nathaniel came to Hartford with his uncle Andrew, and in 1650, he joined the group of settlers at Massabeseck, which became Middletown. (For Sources, see list below genealogy.) Children:

i.John Bacon, b. 14 Mar 1661, Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, m. 26 Nov 1689, at Middletown, Connecticut, Sarah Wetmore, b. 27 Nov 1664, at Middletown, (dau. of Thomas (Whitmore) Wetmore and Sarah Hall), who d. 14 Feb 1698, at Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, and was bur. 16 Feb 1698, Middletown, Connecticut. John d. 4 Nov 1732, and was bur. 6 Nov 1732 at Middletown.

iv.Lydia Bacon, b. 18 Feb 1672, Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, m. 6 Jun 1706, in Middletown, Connecticut, Joseph Wetmore, b. 5 Mar 1662, (son of Thomas (Whitmore) Wetmore and Sarah Hall), d. 25 Mar 1717, Middletown, Connecticut, was bur. 27 Mar 1717. Lydia d. at Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut.

Hannah Wetmore, b. 4 Jan 1680, Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, (dau. of Thomas (Whitmore) Wetmore and Katherine Leet), d. 7 Sep 1722, Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, bur. 9 Sep 1722, Middletown, Connecticut. Nathaniel d. 6 Jan 1759, Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut and was bur. 8 Jan 1759, at Middletown.

ii.Samuel Wetmore, b. 13 Mar 1692, Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, m. 23 Jun 1722, in Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, Hanna Hubbard, b. 21 Jul 1700, Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, who d. 4 Jun 1794, at Middletown, and was bur. there on 7 Jun 1794. Samuel d. 30 Dec 1773, at Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, and was buried there 4 Jan 1774.

iv.Benjamin Wetmore, b. 17 May 1696, at Middletown, m. 24 Sep 1719, in Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, to Marcy Roberts, who was also b. in Middletown.

v.Thomas Wetmore, b. 26 Aug 1698, Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, m. (1) 11 Dec 1751, in Middletown, to Ann Hale, also b. Middletown, who d. 28 Sep 1753, Middletown, bur. 2 Oct 1753 in Middletown; m. (2) ______; m. (3) Rebecca Lewis, b. Simsbury, Hartford Co., Connecticut.

vi.Daniel, b. 9 May, 1703, at Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, m. 26 Aug 1725 in Middletown to Dorothy Hale, who was bap. 21 Mar 1707/08 in Middletown.

vii.Bethia Wetmore, b. 22 Jan 1706/7, Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, m. 20 Apr 1732, in Middletown, to Joseph Bacon, also b. in Middletown.

viii.Jabez Wetmore, b. 14 May 1709, Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut.

3.  Andrew Bacon, b. 14 Jan 1666, Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut, m. 12 Feb 1691/2, in Middletown, to Mehetable Wetmore, b. 1 Jun 1669, also in Middletown (dau. of Thomas (Whitmore) Wetmore and Mary Platt Atkinson), who d. 19 Jan 1732, in Middletown and was bur. there. Andrew died 1 Jun 1723, at Middletown, and was bur. there. Children:

i.Abigail Bacon, bap. 8 Feb 1712, m. 26 Apr 1732, to Josiah Loomis, Jr., who was b. 11 Mar 1708/9 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Connecticut.

Stewart of Port Republic, Md., whose source was research done by an aunt at the Mormon Church Archives in Salt Lake City, Utah, as well as another correspondent who had also done research at the Mormon Church Archives, and he said the two records “dovetailed beautifully.”
