Elsthorpe is a small farming community located in Hawke's Bay, on the East Coast of the North Island of New Zealand.

This book traces the arrival of the early settlers, the division of the large blocks of land to the present day farms, the life of the school.

These descendants of the founding families and those who followed soon after, remain in the district today. They along with many who have settled over the past 100 years.
