On Sunday a youth named GILMORE of Papatu, was riding in company with
some boys when his horse stumbled and fell, rolling over the rider. The
lad sustained a slight concussion of the brain and was taken home, but
is now recovering.
Confirmation Service was held in the Norsewood Lutheran Church on Sunday,
Pastor RIES officiating.

In the divorce court , in the Danevirke case, ALLARDICE v ALLARDICE, the
wife was granted a judicial seperation as applied for, with the custody
of the children. Respondent was ordered to pay as alimony, 2 pounds3/4d
per month during the currency of the lease of the hotel held by his wife
and fter that 80 pounds per year to the wife and 30 pounds for each child
living with her

There was a native funeral in Danevirke yesterday, the deceased being
the only son of Manahi PAEWAI, one of the most respected Tahoraite natives.
The boy was a fine lad of about 10 years of age and used to attend the
public school. An attack of inflammation followed by consumption was the
cause of death.
His remains were taken to Kaitoke and interred there.

An uncommon operation on Michael MORAN, 13 years, who between five and
six years ago had his hand severley burnt. The hand had become contracted.The
flesh between the fingers was cut.

I regret to announce the death of Arthur Edmondson WEBB, eldest son of
Canon WEBB MA of Gisborne, who departed this life on 29 August at Waverly
Road, Southsea, Hants. The deceased was only in his 30th year.

very old settler in the Kaikora district and was only shifted from Kaikora
