Jessie V. Nabors, 93, was born in Garland County, Arkansas, and died Dec. 17, 1982, at the Orangewood Health Center. He moved to Arizona from Texas in 1923 and was a member of Bethany Bible Church. Daughter, E. Sydney Henshaw. Glendale Memorial Park Cemetery. 12/21/1982.

NAGEL, Leslie

Mesa -- Leslie Nagel, 56, who had been a marketing representative for the Arizona State Compensation Fund nine years, died Jan. 4, 1982, in Desert Samaritan Hospital. Mr. Nagel, 915 W. Meseto, was born in Indonesia and came to Arizona 25 years ago from the Netherlands. He is survived by his wife, Lucie; children, Vicky Cook, June, Wendy and Bart; and a grandchild, Trevis Cook. Memorial services in Messinger Mortuary Chapel, 7601 E. Indian School, Scottsdale, Rev. Bruce Compton, officiating. Cremation. NAGY, Alex

Alex Nagy, 69, who had been a square dance caller in the Valley, died Sunday, Oct. 17, 1982, in a Valley hospital. He was a native of Moon Township, Pennsylvania, and moved to Phoenix in 1948. Survivors include his wife, Gertrude; two daughters, Ethel McCarty and Elaine Nagy; a sister and a brother. The Phoenix Gazette 10/19/1982.

NANCE, Mamie Adell

Tempe -- Mamie Adell Nance died Dec. 22, 1982, at Tempe St. Luke's Hospital. Mrs. Nance was born in Colbert, Oklahoma, and moved to Arizona 45 years ago. She was a member of the Followers of Christ Church in Oklahoma. She is survived by her daughters, Lois Shaw and Grace; 12 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services were at Carr Memorial Chapel, Tempe. 12/27/1982.

NASH, Emmert Dean

Services for Emmert Dean Nash, 81, who died Dec. 26, 1982, were at the First Baptist Church, 7000 N. Central. Mr. Nash was a retired theater owner. He was born in Pawnee County, Nebraska, and moved to Arizona in 1958. He attended Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas. He was a Mason and a member of the Elks Lodge. NAUMANN, Helen Frances

Tempe -- Helen Frances Naumann, 74, who helped get the mini-bus service started to aid the elderly at Concord Village here, died Jan. 3, 1982, in Scottsdale Memorial Hospital on her 55th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Naumann, 625 E. Continental Drive, moved here five years ago from her native Chicago. She is survived by her husband, Elmer J.; daughter, Carol Ann Naumann, Downer's Grove, Illinois; sons, James of Scottsdale; Kenneth, Dallas; and John, Boulder Creek; brothers, David Kelly III; sisters Dorothy Kennedy, Pennsylvania; Clela Gallavan, Florida; 14 grandchildren, a great-grandchild; two sisters and a brother. Mass in St. Daniel's Catholic Church, 1030 N. Hayden, Scottsdale. Messinger Mortuary made arrangements. Interment St. Francis Cemetery. NAVEJAS, Rolando

Rolando Navejas, 18, who worked for a roofing company, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1982. Mr. Navejas was brought to Arizona seven years ago from his native Oregon. He was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Peoria. Parents, Felix and Concepcion Navejas, three brothers and a sister survive. the Phoenix Gazette 10/13/1982.

NAYLOR, Anne H.

Services for Anne H. Naylor, 50, who died Dec. 23, 1982, were at St. Jerome's Catholic Church. Mrs. Naylor was born in Red House, West Virginia, and moved to Phoenix from North Olmsted, Ohio, in 1972. Husband, Clayton; daughters, Nance A. Phillips and Susan B. NEAL, Opal M.

Opal M. Neal, 62, who had worked in customer service for Sears & Roebuck, died Monday, Oct. 25, 1982. Mrs. Neal was born in Texas and moved to Arizona from Oklahoma 45 years ago. Survivors include her husband, Ellis; son, Billy; daughter, Karen Gentry; her father, S. A. Zimmerman; a brother; and two grandchildren. 10/27/1982.

NEFF, Arthur N., Jr.

Pinetop -- Arthur N. Neff, Jr., 64, a retired Marine Corps colonel, died Dec. 3, 1982, at Navapache Hospital in Show Low. He was born in Boston and moved to Arizona nine years ago. He served 32 years in the Marines and was a World War II veteran. He was captain of Navajo County Sheriff's Posse White Mountain Unit. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Arizona Board of Realtors, and charter member of the Experimental Test Pilots Association. He is survived by his wife, Ruth "Rudy", and sister, Betsy Knoell. 12/5/1982.

NEFF, Herbert

Herbert Neff, 80, of 7009 W. Pierson, a retired civil engineer, died January 1, 1982, in St. Joseph's Hospital. Mr. Neff was born in Arkansas City, Arkansas, and came to Arizona in 1942. NELSON, Clarence Edward

Memorial services for Clarence Edward Nelson, 83, who had been the western advertising manager for Fortune Magazine, were held in Desert Crest Retirement Residence, 2101 E. Maryland, Rev. Dr. Donald E. Sapp officiating. Mr. Nelson came here two years ago from California and died Dec. 31, 1981, in Crestview Lodge Nursing Home. He was born in Minnesota and had been a member of the Community Church and the Lions at Rancho Bernardo in San Diego. Survivors include his wife, Adelaide; daughter, Susan Murtagh, San Diego; five grandchildren; and two sisters out of state. Messinger Mortuary made arrangements. 5-Jan-1982

NELSON, Mansel H.

Mansel H. Nelson, 74, a native of Luna, N.M., died Thurs., Oct. 14, 1982, in a Valley medical center. He worked for th Prescott public school system, retiring in 1972 after 28 years of service in maintenance. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Wife, Willmia; sons, Melvin Ewing, David and Edmond; daughters, Mary Palmer, Ruth Ann Curtiss and Lynn; four sisters; three brothers; 34 grandchildren. 10/16/1982.

NELSON, Warren J.

Warren J. Nelson, 76, employed 30 years at the Phoenix Water Production Filter Plant, died Dec. 14, 1982, in Maricopa Medical Center. He was born in Mayer. Wife, Louise; daughters, Verna, Carol and Nadine; sons, Warren, Jr.; a sister; seven grandchildren. Services were at the Presbyterian Arbor at Fort McDowell. 12/17/1982.

NESS, Wilda Fay

Wilda Fay Ness, 80, died Nov. 16, 1982, at Boswell Memorial Hospital. She was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and moved to Arizona 21 years ago from Sioux City, Iowa. She was a secretary for 30 years for the Milwaukee Railroad and was a member of Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church. She had been a teacher at Mountain View Recreational Center. Survivors include nieces and nephews. Lundberg Golden Door Chapel in Youngtown. 11/17/1982.
