Elmer T. Dahl, 64, who was born in Rochester, Minnesota, and retired as a purchasing agent for a utilities company before moving here six years ago, died Jan. 29, 1982, in John C. Lincoln Hospital. Mr. Dahl, of Phoenix, was awarded the Purple Heart while serving with the Army in World War II and was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Rochester. He is survived by his wife, Esther; children, Jane Couvdos and Richard; three grandchildren, Nicole, Dhyana, and Jonathan; and three brothers, Reuben, Sioux Falls, SD, Frank, Rochester, MN, and Clarance, Anaconda, MT. Mesa -- Evelyn Dahlseng {sic}, 72, a winter resident from Starbuck, Minnesota, died Dec. 25, 1982, at Desert Samaritan Hospital. Mrs. Dahlseng was born in Sacred Heart, Minnesota. She was a member of the Victgory Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband, Julius; daughters, Mrs. Iver Aal and Mrs. Roger Tichy; a sister; two brothers; and six grandchildren. DANCER, David Anderson

David Anderson Dancer, 86, died Oct. 11, 1982, in a Valley hospital. He had been a two-term state representative in Iowa and was a veteran of World War I. He moved to Sun City in 1973 from his native Iowa. Wife, Florence; daughters, Alice White, Jane Pitkin and Joanne Stone; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. DANIEL, Jettie R.

Jettie R. Daniel, 82, died Monday, Oct. 25, 1982, in her home in Phoenix. She moved to Arizona from her native Texas 41 years ago and had worked on an assembly line at AiResearch from 1942 to 1965. DANIELS, Katherine

Katherine Daniels, 87, died Oct. 23, 1982, in Renton, Washington. She moved to Arizona from her native Washington and lived in Phoenix for nine years. Parker -- Services for Ruby Louise BALDWIN DANIELS, 57, who died Jan. 4, 1928, at the Parker Community Hospital, were at the United Methodist Church here. Mrs. Daniels, a native of Idabelle, Oklahoma, had lived in Arizona for 14 years and worked as a drugstore clerk. Scottsdale -- Edena Mae Daugherty, 70, died Nov. 26, 1982, in Phoenix Mountain Nursing Center. Mrs. Daugherty was born in Oklahoma and moved here from Houston, Texas. Mrs. Anna Daukulis, 56, a meatpacker, died Nov. 24, 1982, in her home. She was born in Latvia, Russia, and moved to Arizona 20 years ago from Albany, New York. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church. Mrs. Daukulis is survived by her sons, Andris and John; daughter, Ieva Bowser; and one grandchild. Camelback, moved to Arizona 30 years ago from his native New Jersey and died Dec. 29, 1981, in St. Luke's Hospital. He had been Arizona skeet-shooting champion in 1968-69 and was a member of Valley Field Riding & Polo Club. DAVEY, William H. "Bert"

William H. Davey, 90, died Nov. 24, 1982, in Hillhaven Health Care Center. He was born in Granite, Montana, first moved to Arizona in 1911 to work in a mine in Superior. He attended business college in Los Angeles and returned to Arizona in 1915 to operate mercantile stores in Twin Buttes and Mineral Hill, mining camps south of Tucson. He later worked in the automobile business for 37 years. He was a member of the Elks. Survived by wife, Rose, son, William B., and a grandson. Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home. DAVIS, Janet S.

Mesa -- Janet S. Davis, 68, a private nurse, died Dec. 22, 1982, in her home in Mesa. Mrs. Davis was a volunteer working with older couples and was a member of the Mesa 14th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was born in Snowflake. Survivors include daughters, Katherine Shiflet, Lynne Whipple and Jacqueline Monteirth; sons, Wilford, Richard, Andy and Burt; and 19 grandchildren. Graveside services were at Mesa City Cemetery. He was born in Illinois and was a bookkeeper for Lockheed Corp. in California for may years. He was a Mason and a member of the American Legion. St. Johns -- Lucy Ellen Burk Davis, 76, who was born in Eagar and resided in St. Johns, died Nov. 15, 1982, at Navapache Hospital in Show Low. She is survived by her daughters, Dellona Gibbons and LaRee Bradburn; sons, Wayne and Dale; a sister, 23 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Glendale -- Nell W. Davis, 94, a Missouri native who moved to Arizona 16 years ago from Big Horn, Wyoming, died Dec. 29, 1981, in a Phoenix hospital. Survivors of Mrs. Davis, 4800 W. Ocotillo, include children, Francis Harrod and Jack; a brother, 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Prescott -- Roy Leonard Davis, 84, a carpenter who worked for Ralph Stagg and Glenn Zimmerman in home building before retiring in 1960, died Nov. 21, 1982, in Yavapai Community Hospital. DAY, Daisy Cochran

Prescott -- Services for Daisy Cochran Day, 89, of Prescott, who died Jan. 5, 1982, at the Samaritan Village Nursing Home here, will be today at the Presbyterian Church in Florence. Mrs. Day, a Kansas native, was a retired piano teacher who moved to Tucson in 1915 and to the Florence area in 1917. She moved to Phoenix after retiring in 1956 and to Prescott four years ago. Sun City -- Frances Day, 77, former hostess for the Deb Webb Development Corp. Sales Office, died Dec. 29, 1982, at Good Shepherd Retirement Center. Mrs. Day was a native of Perry, Missouri, and moved to Sun City in 1961 from Illinois. She is survived by her cousins. John G. Daywalt, 73, Sun City, a retired comptroller for the federal government in Romulus, New York, was born Leitersburg, Maryland, and Sun City -- John B. Daywalt, 73, a retired comptroller for the federal government in Romulus, New York, died Nov. 25, 1982. He was born Leitersburg, Maryland, and moved to Sun City in 1972. Whiteriver -- Anthony Silas Dazen, 26, a graduate student at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, died Nov. 29, 1982, at Phoenix Indian Medical Center. Mr. Dazen was born here and was a member of the White Mountain Apache Tribe. John E. Dean, Sr., 64, moved to Chandler five months ago from Thomasboro, Illinois. He was born in Pickens, S.C. and died Sunday, Oct. 17, 1982, in a Valley hospital. He had been a construction supervisor for Interstate General Contractors, builders of air traffic control towers and radar sites in Long Grove, Illinois.
