VALLES, Bobby Romero

Bobby R. Valles, 16, a student at Bostrom School, was dead on arrival Sept. 30, 1980, at John C. Lincoln Hospital after he was involved in a car-bicycle accident at 3400 Grand. He was born in Phoenix. Parents, Mr./Mrs. Felipe Valles; six sisters and three brothers. 5 Oct 1980.

VANCE, Margaret Jean

Avondale -- Margaret Jean Vance, 25, died Jan. 28, 1980, in Phoenix General Hospital. Miss Vance moved to Arizona in 1959 from Texas. Surviving are her parents, Hugh and Conchita Vance and two brothers. Services were in First Southern Baptist Church, 19 N. Central. Published 1/31/1980.

VANDEVER, James A.

James A. Vandever, 68, who lived in Arizona 44 years, died Jan. 27, 1980, in Maryvale Hospital. He was a retired maintenance employee of the Glendale High School District. Survived by wife, Mary; children, Lora Wheeler, LaWanda Houser, Gerald, Gary, Leon and Ronald; a sister; 19 grandchildren. Published 1/30/1980.

VanSKYHOCK, Gertrude M.

8 July 1895 - 13 Mar 1980
Gertrude M. VanSkyhock, 84, who moved here four years ago from Indiana died March 13, 1980. She was a member of Palo Verde Christian Church. Mrs. VanSkyhock is survived by her children, Cletis L. Kozak, James L., Charles R., Robert G. and Earl D.; 28 grandchildren and 66 great-grandchildren. Services and burial were in Osceola, Indiana. 3/17/1980.

VARSCSAK, Jean

Mass for Jean Varscsak, 64, who died March 29, 1980, in Doctors Hospital, was at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1954 N. 24th St. Mrs. Varscsak, 1540 E. Cambridge, was born in Italy and came here 20 years ago from Long Island, N. Y. Survivors include her husband, Stephen; sons, Stephen Jr., John and Patrick; three grandchildren; and sister, Doris Troist, Phoenix; brothers and sisters in New York state. Mercer Mortuary, 1541 E. Thomas. Interment Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The Arizona Republic Monday, March 31, 1980.

VASQUEZ, Timotea G.

Miami -- Timotea G. Vasquez, 91, lived in the Globe-Miami area 65 years and died March 28, 1980, in Gila General Hospital. Mrs. Vasquez, a native of San Jose, is survived by children, Mary Ramirez, Pete, Nick, Johnny, Nacho, Manuel and Joe; a sister; 22 grandchildren. Rosary and Mass were at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church. 3/30/1980.

VENEGAS, Luis

Luis Venegas, 64, came here in 1950 from Texas and died Oct. 13, 1980, in Phoenix Memorial Hospital. Mr. Venegas retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad Co. He was a member of the Senior Citizens and Southside clubs. Survived by wife, Maria; daughters, Cruz Navares and Rosa Gomez; a sister; a brother; four grandchildren. Rosary in Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home. Mass in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 1414 S. 17th Ave. Interment St. Francis. 10/15/1980.
