JACKSON, Guy E.

Scottsdale -- Guy E. Jackson, 70, a retired welder and native of Kentucky, died Oct. 12, 1980, in Scottsdale Memorial Hospital. Mr. Jackson came here from Michigan in 1975. He was a member of the Jesus Chapel. Wife, Martha; children, Hilda Day of IN, May Bozart of MN, Fay Quest and Rene Jackson of Scottsdale, Peggy Satterfield and Patty Gibson, both of Michigan; Robert and Maurice; three sisters, Frankie Evans, Catherine Shirley, and Nellie Mitchell, all of Indiana; 39 grandchildren. Services were in Richmond, Indiana. Oct. 14, 1980.

JACKSON, Lela Mae McCLURE

11 Apr 1906 - Jan 1980
Lela Mae McClure Jackson, 73, who moved to Phoenix 40 years ago from Texas, died Jan. 27, 1980, in Desert Terrace Nursing Home. Survived by son, Edward McClure; two brothers; 14 grandchildren. 1/29/1980.

JAMES, Loretta F.

25 June 1928 - 10 March 1980
Loretta F. James, 52, died March 10, 1980. She came to Arizona 20 years ago from Illinois and was a bar manager. She is survived by her husband, John H.; daughters, Peggy Benjamin, Dorothy Nowakowski and Peggy Ann Whipple; two sisters; a brother and four grandchildren. Graveside services at Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery. 3/17/1980.

JAMES, Michael Lewis

Michael Lewis James, 24, was born in Arizona and died Sept. 26, 1980, ina Phoenix hospital. He had been a student at Central Washington State College, Ellensburg, Wash. Surviving are his mother, Rosie Ellis; two sisters; four brothers and two grandparents. Services were in St. John's Institutional Baptist Church. 10/3/1980.

JANETT, Agnes Mary

8 July 1893 - 7 Oct 1980
Agnes Janett, 87, came from Minnesota in 1948 and died Oct. 7, 1980, in Maricopa COunty Hospital. Retired registered nurse. Mass for was in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central. Mrs. Janett, 4635 N. 14th St., came to Phoenix in 1948 from Minnesota. Camelback Sunset Chapel made arrangements. Arizona Republic Friday, October 10, 1980.

JENKINS, Lewis D.

30 Apr 1898 - Jan 1980
Peoria -- Lewis D. Jenkins, 81, died Jan. 23, 1980. He retired as factory foreman from U. S. Steel Corp. in Ohio and moved to the Valley 17 years ago. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner. Wife, Edna; sons, Clair L. and Dr. Gerald Jenkins; three grandchildren; two sisters and three brothers. 25 January 1980.

JENNINGS, Roy Alvin

Paradise Valley -- Roy Alvin Jennings, 86, a retired teacher and public school administrator in Arizona and New York, died March 13, 1980. Mr. Jennings came to Arizona in 1942. He graduated from Syracuse University with Phi Beta Kappa honors. In addition to his career in education, he raised quarter horses and managed motels and apartments. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a World War I veteran. Survivors include his wife, Violet; son, Dr. Stephen Jennings, and six grandchildren. 3/14/1980.

JENSEN, William

William Jensen, 51, a baker and Korean War veteran, died Oct. 5, 1980. Mr. Jensen came here in 1974 from Wisconsin. Wife, Roberta; children, Nancy and William, Jr.; mother, Nora Stalock; four sisters and four brothers. Veterans Cemetery. Graveside services Arizona Veterans Cemetery. Oct. 7, 1980.


JIMENEZ, Jose T.

Miami -- Jose T. Jimenez, 55, a native of Mexico, died Jan. 27, 1980, at Miami Inspiration Hospital. Mr. Jimenez moved to Miami in 1925. He was a retired employee of Inspiration Copper Co. Wife, Helen; children, Joe, Louis, Mary Helen, Yolanda, Amelia Songer and Teresa Lott; four brothers; two sisters and seven grandchildren. Published 1/30/1980.

JOENS, Emil

Sun City -- Emil Joens, 78, who owned a wholesale food company 18 years in Waterloo, Iowa, died Sept. 29, 1980, in Boswell Hospital. He was graduated from Long Beach, Calif. City College and was a member of the Masonic Shrine, Methodist CHurch and Lions, all in Iowa. He came here from Jefferson, Iowa in 1970. Wife, Ruth; son, Merwyn; brother, William of Manning, Iowa, sister, Elsie Sporrer of Carroll, Iowa. Sunland Memorial Park, Sun City. Sunland Mausoleum. JOGGERST, Marcella M.

Globe -- Rosary for Marcella M. Joggerst, 59, who lived in this are 34 years, will be today at Palmer-Globe Mortuary. Mass will be Friday at Holy Angeles Catholic Church. Mrs. Joggerst died March 11, 1980, at the University of Arizona Medical Center in Tucson. Survivors include her husband, Roman; a son, David; a daughter, Janice Benney; two sisters; a brother and four grandchildren. The Arizona Republic Thursday, March 13, 1980.

JOHANSSON, Amelia

Eastern Star services for Amelia Johansson, 78, who died March 14, 1980, in Highland Manor Rest Home, were at Sunnyside Mortuary, 614 E. Townley. Mrs. Johansson came here eight years ago from Massachusetts. She was a homemaker. Survived by a niece, Augusta Manzel.3/16/1980.

JOHNS, Benjamin W.

Mesa -- Benjamin W. Johns, 80, a World War I veteran and retired high school teacher, died March 6, 1980, in Mesa Lutheran Hospital. Mr. Johns moved here 14 years ago from Minnesota. He was a 50-year member of the Masons. Wife, Elizabeth; son, Robert; and two grandchildren. Cremation arranged by Gibbons-Bunker Garden Chapel. 3/15/1980.
