Garduno, 69, of Fort Wingate, NM, who formerly was a certified public accountant for the Boy Scouts of America in Phoenix, died Oct. 8, 1980, in Albuquerque Veterans Hospital. Rosary was in Northwest Mortuary, 4033 N. 19th Ave. Mass was in St. Raphael's Catholic Church, 5525 W. Acoma. Mr. Garduno was with the Boy Scouts here six years before going to New Mexico in 1977. He was a native of Winslow and a World War II Army veteran. Surviving are a daughter, Ella Marie Poucher; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Mr. Garvick came here in 1948 and left Phoenix in February. He was a member of the Montezuma Masonic Lodge, El Zaribah Shrine and Scottish Rite bodies. Scottsdale -- Bernard W. Gibbons, 32, a faculty member of National Teacher Education Project in Scottsdale, died of cancer Jan. 26, 1980, in his home. He was born in Evergreen Park, IL. Mr. Gibbons received his master of divinity degree from St. John's Seminary, Camarillo, CA. He also attended Loyola University. He was director of religious education for the Community of the Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church in Scottsdale from 1976 to 1979. Surviving are his wife, Marcella, who is on the nursing staff of Scottsdale Memorial Hospital; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard W. Gibbons; two sisters and a brother.
