Ruth Cantrell, 71, of Avondale, died June 26, 1978. She came to Arizona 50 years ago from Oklahoma. CARR, B. Paula

Scottsdale -- Memorial services for B. Paula Carr, 85, who died April 13, 1978, in Scottsdale Memorial Hospital, were in Valley Presbyterian Church, 6947 E. MacDonald Drive. Robert Rojas Carreon, 23, a member of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, died Tuesday, April 18, 1978, from auto accident injuries. He was brought to Arizona from California 16 years ago and worked as a self-employed custodian. He entered the Marine Corps in 1973. CHAMBERS, Mikki J.

Mikki J. Chambers, 18, died June 27, 1978, in Flagstaff Community Hospital of hang gliding accident injuries. She attended Glendale Community College and was a student at Northern Arizona University. She came to Phoenix 11 years ago from Colorado and had been assistant manager and cashier at Manns Christown Theater. Parents, Mr. and Mrs. William A. Chambers; a sister and three brothers. CHAVEZ, George L.

George L. Chavez, 22, a 1974 graduate of South Mountain High School, died April 19, 1978, in a Phoenix hospital. He was an employee at McGraw-Edison and had worked with the Boys' Club in Tucson and on marathon running events. Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Augustin Chavez; a brother; and two grandparents. CHILDERS, James E.

James E. Childers, 83, a former Denver police chief, died April 24, 1978, in a Valley hospital. Childers moved to Sun City from Denver in 1975. He had been in law enforcement for 45 years and retired as chief in Denver in 1961. He was a 50-years member of the Masonic Lodge and member of the Retired Police Protective and Denver Police Protective associations. Seervices for Sena C. Christensen, 82, who moved to Arizona 40 years ago from Iowa, were at Second Baptist Church. Luther Christopher, 71, and his wife, Madie C. Christopher, 79, died Sunday, March 27, 1977, in their home, 1420 E. Polk. Mr. Christopher had lived here since 1936 and was a member of Construction Workers Local 383, Prince Hall Masonic affiliations and Maricopa Lodge 1. Mrs. Christopher had been a member of the Missionary Board, Senior Choir and a past secretary of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. CLABAUGH, Milford Lonnie

Milford Lonnie Clabaugh, 74, a design and sales engineer, came to the Valley 24 years ago and was an associate professor in ASU mathematics department, died Wed., March 30, 1977. He was graduated from Ohio State University and taught in an engineering school in Chicago and was also a sales manager for a North Carolina industrial corporation. Wife, Ruth, and a brother survive. CLARK, Homer John

Homer John Clark, 66, of Phoenix, died June 24, 1978, in Phoenix Veterans Hospital. He was a heavy equipment operator 15 years for the City of Phoenix until he became ill two years ago. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He moved here in 1958 from Oklahoma City. Wife, Olive; children, Alice Morton, Letha Crispin, Carl, Curt, Bill, Jerry and Larry; grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers. Published in the Arizona Republic 6/27/1978.
