Amanda Baker, 82, 2901 E. Broadway, lived here 51 years and died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 1976, in a Phoenix hospital. Survivors include three nephews and two nieces. Services in First Institutional Baptist Church, 1141 E. JEfferson. 10 January 1976.

BANICK, Alfred

Prescott -- A 72-yearold Prescott Valley man committed suicide Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1976, by hanging himself with a clothesline, Yavapai County officials said. Alfred Banick died of strangulation, Dr. Philip Keen, County Pathologist said Wednesday. Yavapai County Sheriff's Lt. BYron Langdell said Bankick's body was discovered by a neighbor. Langdell said Banick attached the clothesline to a railing in his trailer home. No note was left, but Langdell said Banick had been despondent because of family problems. 1/15/1976.

Services for Estella M. Bayless, 86, who came here in 1909 and was a member of the choir and Womens Society for Christian Service at First United Methodist Church, were in A. L. Moore & Sons Mortuary, 333 W. Adams. Mrs. Bayless, 1712 W. Glendale, an early president of the Osborn Womens Club, was a member of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile and Phoenix Womens Club. She died Sunday in Beatitudes Care Center. Survivors include children, Irma B. Miller, Lynn M. and Robert L.; a sister; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. George D. Brasfield, 77, who had lived here since 1961 and was a member of the First Baptist Church board of trustees for three years, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 1976, in Good Samaritan Hospital. Mr. Brasfield, 1301 W. McKinley, has been a salesman and retired in 1964 as district manager of Motor Manuels. Survivors include his wife, Gladys; sons, Flax D. BRICKER, Francis Walter

Francis Walter Bricker, 55, who was president of the Central Arizona Chapter American Institute of Architects in 1965 and owner of the architectural firm of Bricker & Hoyt, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 1976, in Good Samaritan Hospital. Mr. Bricker, 4202 N. 34th Place, was a member of the Phoenix Zoning & Planning Commission, American Arbitration Association, Arizona State University Alumni Association, Luke Greenway American Legion Post and a charter member of Moose Lodge 708. He served in the Air Force in World War II and was listed in Who's Who in the West. Survivors include his wife, Devona; a son, Steven; a sister, Katherine L. Dowling; and two grandchildren. Michael Richard Burr, 14, and Steven Douglas Gibbons, 13, were killed Sat., Jan. 10, 1976, in an auto-bicycle accident. Steven was born in Phoenix and lived with his parents at 2724 W. Highland. He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was a Boy Scout and Deacon Quorum president and spelling bee champion at Laveen Elementary School. Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gene A. Gibbons; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilburn T. Elliott and Mr. and Mrs. Austin W. Gibbons; and four brothers.
Michael, of 2050 W. Dobbins, was also a native of Phoenix and a member of the LDS Sixth Ward. He attended John F. Kennedy Junior High School where he was active in sports. Blanche L. Busenbark, 92, who was brought to Duncan in 1887 died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1976, in the Pioneers Home at Prescott. Mrs. Busenbark moved to Phoenix in 1911 and was a member of the Phoenix First Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had been in the home since 1970.
