From the description on this 1911-postmarked postcard:

"St. Mary's Hospital, at the corner of Clinton and Antoine streets, is the pioneer hospital in Detroit, having been founded in 1846. It comprises accomodations for 175 patients and is conducted by the order of the Sisters of Charity. A nurses's chool is conducted in connection."
