The exterior of the administration building (the building in the new photos) was completed in 1999. Construction began on the building in 1857 and was completed in 1861. Many of the other historical structures have beentorn down (including the one seen in the historic postcard view at the bottom of the page). ASH is still in operation and serves more than 2800 patients each year for mental health treatment.
