Coward was possibly her married name. Since her son George Bealing has an uncle Charles Matthews living with him at 1881 census, her maiden name may be Matthews.

Harriett married Thomas BEALING-[1604] [MRIN:491], son of Stephen BEALING-[1596] and Mary WADMAN-[1597], on 30 May 1836 in Gillingham, Dorset, UK. (Thomas BEALING-[1604] was born in 1796 and died March 2nd 1890.)
