Evelyn Murphy Richardson and Karen Richardson Gee surveyed Wirth Cemetery on June 29, 1999.   It is located in the Northern part of Sharp county, just North of Wirth off Hwy. 175 and next to the old Wirth Community Building.  We have tried to furnish the genealogist with all of the information the stone affords: war records, whether the stone is shared, etc.
        The marked stones in Wirth Cemetery date back to the 1870s, and some are quite difficult to read.  Some of the names below represent our best guess as to what the stones said 75-100 years ago.  Where we have been in serious doubt, we have indicated that with a question mark.  Many graves in the cemetery are also unmarked.  The cemetery is well-maintained and several original gravestones have been replaced with new stones.
