Although the Haug family stones have their names spelled that way, you will rarely find them on records with the Haug spelling. More likely you will find their name spelled Houk among other ways. The Haug's were from Germany and most of the peole in the area at that time were also. Many inter-married so you will find a very large family of intertwined surnames.
