The Blaylock
Cemetery is located on land granted by patent in the year 1884
to Sarah Harriet Blaylock and in the sale of land in the year
1918, the 1/2 acre graveyard was excepted from the sale by her
heirs, namely Mrs. S. (Sophronia) A. Taylor, Mrs. S. C. (Callie)
Houston, and Mrs. Minerva Ford; Taylor signing in Benton Co.,
AR, and Houston and Ford signing in Grayson Co., TX. Minerva
was the wife of Cain Ford. Deed records in Benton Co., AR, shows
the names of Jefferson T. Ford - 1860; J. T. Ford and wife, Polly
Ford to H. M. Ford - 1862. Henry M. Ford and wife, Sarah Elizabeth
Ford to G. W. Glasscock - 1866. |
