Retired Painter Dies
DANIEL G. SLEEPER
Daniel George SLEEPER, 88, retired painter, died yesterday
morning at his home. He had lived here for 49 years and was a member of
the Painters Union, and Fred N. Rix camp, United Spanish War Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sarah Sleeper, of Hot Springs. Five
daughters, Mrs. Alta Mae Burgess, El Centro, California, Mrs. Helen Blalock,
Lake Orion, Michigan, Mrs. Sadie Dempsey, Pontiac, Mich., Mrs. Frances Harmon
and Miss Alice Sleeper of Hot Springs; four sons, Glenn Sleeper of California,
Leonard D. Sleeper of Hot Springs, George Sleeper of Atlanta, Georgia, and
Otis Sleeper of Salinas, California; 28 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later.

21, 1949 SLEEPER SERVICES
Funeral services for Daniel George SLEEPER,
who died Friday, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at the Gross Mortuary chapel
with Captain Daniel B. Cartin of the Salvation Army officiating. Burial
will in Hollywood Cemetery; Fred N. Ricks Camp No. 1, Spanish American War
Veterans will have charge of service at the grave.
