JORDAN CEMETERY
Drew County, Arkansas
[The following information came from the September 1978 issue of "The Melting Pot." The cemetery was transcribed by Marcile and Ray Dillard June 1978.]
This cemetery is located near the old Harris Place in lands now owned by Georgia Pacific Lumber Co. The cemetery is south and a little west of Cominto, Drew County, Arkansas. The Georgia Pacific Company has maps locating all the old cemeteries on their lands. The office is located at Cominto, Arkansas. This cemetery is surrounded by a fence and lies on the north side of the road.
The first grave you come to after entering the gate is marked by a large rock with no name. I [this I would have been either Marcile or Ray] believe this may be the grave of Andrew Jackson Carson born circa 1838 in Dallas County, Ala. He died 30 November 1868 on the old Harris place when my grandfather was two years old. The other graves (not listed in exact order) are:
