McClard, Joe - Our precious
Joe McClard, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, is laughing with the angels.
On October 9, 2013, he left his earthly home for his eternal one with his
Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born on July 11, 1943, in Hot Springs, Arkansas,
to J. D. and Lois McClard.
He is survived by his loving and devoted
wife of fifty-two years Dolores McClard; son Scott McClard and girlfriend
Shannon Wynn; daughter Tracy Moss and husband Michael; four grandchildren,

Greenwood and Hot Springs Junior and Senior High, Joe went straight to work
in the family business. Other than being gone while in the National Guard,
he has lived his entire life enjoying everything Hot Springs has to offer.
Joe loved life and was a friend to all. Presidents and celebrities were
no more important than childhood friends or bar-be-que customers. Never
too busy for a joke, a story or a handshake, Joe was always waving someone
back to his spot on the block. Although his passions were horse racing and
golf – nothing was more important to Pops than his grandkids. They were
and will always be the best part of his life.
In lieu of flowers, please
make donations to the Caring Place of Hot Springs or the Horsemen’s Benevolent

Hall Merritt completed her work as an apprentice angel and has moved on
to the next level. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother,

serious debate and a good game of cards. She was a lover of all of God’s
creatures, especially birds.

house, or buy a bag of birdseed. Mom will be put to rest next to Dad at
the State Veteran’s Cemetery in North Little Rock later in the year once
the wildflowers have bloomed and many of the wild birds have returned to
