Moreno Valley, CA-- TROY FREDRICK REED, formerly of Moreno Valley, died Saturday of Alzheimer's disease at his home in Murrieta. He was 74. Private services are planned. Valley Funeral Home in Murrieta is handling arrangements. Mr. Reed, who was born in Alleene, Ark., lived in Murrieta three years. He formerly lived in Moreno Valley for 25 years. He was a machinist/ supervisor for the Deutsch Co. in Banning for 25 years before he retired in 1988. Mr. Reed was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 257 in Horatio, Ark. He was past vice president of the American Association of Retired Persons in Horatio, Ark. Mr. Reed is survived by his wife, Lorene; a son, Don of Temecula; a daughter, Rhonda of Vancouver, Wash.; four grandchildren; two sisters, Lavener Ford of Tyler, Texas, and Opal Fryar of Mount Ida, Ark.; and two brothers, Roy of Mesa, Ariz., and Marshal of Tyler, Texas. --Press-Enterprise, The (Riverside, CA) - January 7, 1999
