Sallie Franklin, 100, of Broken Bow died January 2, 1989 in the Broken Bow nursing home.  
She was born June 29, 1888 in Ashdown, Arkansas.  Mrs. Franklin had lived in Broken Bow since 1926.  She moved here from Pickens.  She was married to Robert E. Franklin who preceded her in death in 1952.
Five children also preceded her in death.  She was affiliated with the Assembly of God Church. 
She is survived by three sons, Eugene Franklin of Medford, Oregon; Eler Franklin of McAlester, Oklahoma, Jacie Lee Franklin of Broken Bow; two daughters, Velma Massey of Quinton, Dolly Cantrell of Klamath Falls, Oregoin, also twelve grandchildren and a number of great and great great grandchildren. 
Services will be today, January 4 at 2:00 in Norwood Chapel of Broken Bow with Ray Lambert officiating.  Burial will be in the Sweet Home Cemetery north of Broken Bow under the direction of Norwood Funeral Home of Broken Bow.
