JAMES W. DUKE

ASHDOWN, Ark.--James W. Duke, 80, of Ashdown died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, in Ashdown.

Mr. Duke was born Aug. 1, 1925, in Ogden, Ark. He was owner of James Truck Stop and a member of Ogden Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one son, Jackie Hensley; and one grandson, Robert Jeremy Hensley.

Survivors include his wife, Evia Lee Duke of Ashdown; two sons, Jerry Duke and Joe Hensley of Ashdown; one daughter, Rosemary Tyree of Nash, Texas; three brothers, Foyce Green and Silas Robbins of Ashdown and Benny Green of Humble, Texas; two sisters, Gladolia Merrell and Corene Wade of Ashdown; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. today at Ashdown Cemetery with the Revs. Butch Riddle and James Brinkley officiating. Burial will be under direction of Madden Funeral Services
