The Jefferson County Genealogical Society was organized in 1983 for the purpose of preserving the history of Jefferson County Arkansas. One of the methods of doing this is the purchase of genealogical books which are donated to the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Library System. The society meets on the Third Sunday of each month. Meetings are held at 2:00 p.m. in the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Museum located at 4th and State Street. Visitors are always welcome.
