Our protracted meeting began on the first Sabbath in Aug. (4, 1906)

Our pastor, Rev. M.T. Ellis, was assisted by Rev. S.L. Cochran of the Methodist Church

He preached Sab(bath) till Thursady night.

There were four that joined the church under his preaching. Then our Pastor took up the work and preached on through. Sabbath. Seven were added to the church under his Preaching.   Their names will be found in proper roll. - - - W.L.Chesnut – Clerk - - -

Mr. Sherman Geen & wife, Mrs. Bell Crouch, & Miss Fannie Proctor were from the *C.P.Recomened

Rev. M.T. Ellis resigned his work at Prosperity and New Hope in the spring of 1907, and leaving us without supplies. * *

Rev. J.C. McDonald held communion services at Prosperity, the fourth Sabbath in May 1907

At a meeting of the session W(illiam). H. Nisbett was elected Clerk of the session, Nov the 10th 1907

* Cumberland Presbyterian Recomened – best interpretation would be, these 4 people were transfers by letter to Prosperity and were recommended by their former Cumberland Presbyterian church

* * Ellis resigned as Pastor, leaving Prosperity and New Hope without a  Pastor after May 1907.
