Martha A. (Stutsman) Brown

Martha was the daughter of Daniel and Catherine Stutsman. She first married James English. He was killed 1863 near Felkertown on his way home from the Civil War. They had three children; Joanna, James, and Sarah. Martha then married William Brown. They had Harrison and Arthur.

Abigail Hudson

1838 - 1920

Abigail was born April 6, 1838 to Emanuel and Rachel Stutsman Parker, one day after her parents arrived in Franklin County, AR.. She first married Ambers Warren. They had a daughter Alice. He was killed by bush whackers. He had escaped them once that night, but they caught up with him right in front of his home, while he was on leave from the Army. (Civil War) Abigail, Martha English (wife of James English), and the fiancé of Woodson Parker buried him just outside of the yard of their home. They were afraid to go to the cemetery. Abigail later married James H. Hudson.

James H. Hudson

1830 - 1897

He was born in Tennessee. 1870 census shows him married to Abigail Parker Warren. At this time he has two sons, Thomas and George both born in Missouri. These were children of his first wife. Abigail has Alice Warren (Alice drew a pension from the confederate Army from her father Ambers Warren). James and Abigail had two daughters of their own, Safronia and Rosa.

Rosaville Hudson

Death May 10, 1871. She was the daughter of Abigail and James H. Hudson. She was born 1868.

Benjamin Franklin Flenniken

1866 - 1899

Benjamin was born April 26, 1861 in Saline County, Missouri the James H. Flenniken, migrated to AR migrated to AR with his family. He married Sophronia Hudson daughter of James and Abigail Hudson. He died Feb 2, 1899, perhaps of Phenomena.

Died Aug 13, 1870 aged 19 yrs 3 mos 16 dys. This is the spouse or child of F.M. Hammond, could not find them on the census, but they had land near by.

Sarah Howell

Jan 16, 1831 - April 6, 1912

She was known as Charity Sarah (Sallie) Honea Howell, daughter of John Honea. She is shown of the 1860 census with her husband William R. Howell. He was killed by bush whackers while on leave from Camp Donelson, MS in October. He was a private in Co. C NW 15th AR Inf. Vol. He is buried in the fence row, a short distance south of the old Abigail Hudson house in the Center Cross Community. This land probably belongs to the Muchmore family now.

Miss Mary Ann Rogers

Oct 6, 1852 - Aug 7, 1872

Age 19 yrs 10 mo. 1 day. Story goes that the family was traveling through here. She became ill and died.

She was Mary Honea daughter of John and Mary Honea. She married Henry K. Parker Sept 20, 1866.

H.K. Parker

Henry Karn Parker was in the Civil War, he has a bronze plaque stating Pvt. Co. C 15 Ark Inf. Confederate States Army. He was the son of Emanuel and Rachel Stutsman Parker who were some of the earliest settlers in Franklin County.

Caroline was the oldest child of George W. and Laura Pace English. She married Sam M. Whitehead July 29, 1883. Sam was born in Mena, AR November 12, 1859 to Reuben and Salina Jones Whitehead. They had two sons, Ruben and Charles H.

He was the son of T.J. and Nannie Flenniken Hudson. He was a coalminer. There is a UMWA logo on the headstone.

The son of James And Joanna English Lowe. He married Bertha Vorheese April 5, 1917, later he married Lula Massingale.

She is the oldest daughter of James and Martha Stutsman English. She first married Marion Youngblood 4-30-1879, they divorced. She then married W.M. Mason of Sparta, TN 7-29-1883, they had one son, William Nuell Mason. W.M. Mason died in 1885. She then married James Lowe, they had several children.

W.T. Patten

July 24, 1886, he was 47 years old, the husband of Mary Patten and was a member of the Masons.

There are three graves that just say Baby Russell on them.

Mike Lee Muchmore

July 8, 1899 - Oct 9, 1980

He was the son of Richard and Mary Schmitz Muchmore. He married Jewell Page, they divorced. He never married again. He was one of those who cared for this cemetery. If it were not for him and his brother George Earl Muchmore, this cemetery might have become overgrown.

She is the daughter of Richard and Mary Schmitz Muchmore. She died quite young. She was born Dessie Pearl 1906 and died 1908.

Roy

He is the son of Richard and Mary Schmitz Muchmore. He was born Aug 20, 1914 and died in 1916.

John

Is the son of Richard and Mary Schmitz Muchmore. He was born 1896 in Grant Twp. Johnson County, AR and died 1917.

Richard W. Muchmore

He was born in Jackson Twp., Johnson County, MO to Jonathan and Amy B. Harsha Muchmore. Both of his parents were dead by 1878. He was raised by his sister and brother-in-law, John D. and Nancy Jane Muchmore Flenniken, who are buried in Box cemetery in Oklahoma.

She was born Maria Lizetta Schmitz in Germany. She came to America in 1881 with her parents Johann and Carolina Raffelsiefer Schmitz (who are buried at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Altus, AR) when she was just 8 years old along with two sisters Clara nine years old and Carolina six years old. She married Richard W. Muchmore July 9, 1891 in Franklin County. It is said she was called to deliver babies and to care for the ill when there was no doctor available, something she was taught by her mother.

Wallace Walker Page

He was born Dec 25, 1891 to George Washington & Heneretta Hogan Page. He was a farmer and coal miner, surviving an accident in the mines. He died in 1967.

Robert C. Whayne

He was from Bentonville, AR. His mother was Phena Ball his wife was Eileen Burnett. He lived on the old Hopkins Place on Hwy 64. He always had a boxer dog in the car with him. He was an electrician.

At the foot of the grave is Ark A 2C US Air Force. He died in Germany. He was the son of Edith Page Brewer Wright.

She was born to Arthur and Maggie Mosley Brown, she married Gaston Matthews.

John Honea

He came to this part of the state about 1840-41 from SC. He served as Associate Judge from 1842-1846, elected County Judge 1846-1848, was associate Judge again 1848-1852, was County Judge again 1852-1858. According to the census records he was born about 1805. Cannot find him on the 1880 census. I assume he died between 1870-1880. Two of his wives are buried here with him. (no headstones) His son S.B. Honea was born in Alabama. S.B. was Sheriff of Franklin County 1854-1856. He also served in the Civil War and died on his way home around Bentonville.

John Benton Honea was the third son of John and Ellen Honea born in Alabama May 23, 2840 died May 5, 1910, buried in Pond Creek.
