Son's Chapel Cemetery

Washington County, Arkansas

"Gone But Not Forgotten"

Submitted May 22, 2003, by Rosa Cline

Updated March 26, 2004

NOTE: Son's Chapel Church that is across the Highway from the cemetery, (at one time they were side by side but after the highway was built it divided them) The church has been named on the National Register of Historic Places for both it's architecture and role in the community. The land was originally given to Michael Son and Nancy Son in 1848, from a Choctaw couple. The Son's used sections of their land for the church and a cemetery. I have an article about the church  and it's being on the Historic Registor from the Morning News.

This is a partial listing of people interred at this cemetery.

I have obits for some of them, if anyone would like a copy.

Sometimes there are pictures of the people with the obit.

If you don’t find the information on this transcription,

go to the Find-A-Grave transcription. There may be more information there.

I am trying to update this list about every other month.
