FRIENDSHIP CEMETERY – Old Section

SPRINGDALE, WASHINGTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS

"GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN"

Submitted Oct 17, 2007 by Rosa Cline

Updated Aug 14, 2009

old section overview 10-14-7

NOTE: I have fully transcribed this section, however until this transcription says “COMPLETE” it will be posted as I work on it as an incomplete listing. I don’t have lots of time to work on this and there are lots of headstone photos to type up. But I will one day get it completed.

Friendship cemetery is a pretty big cemetery and is in "sections".  This is only one section; one that the caretakers call the old section  transcribed May 2007 and Oct 2007.  This section I have headstone photos for everyone listed below. Since this is the original section that started the cemetery, like many old cemeteries, there are unmarked graves and big empty spots that probably have graves in them. Even the records of the cemetery today aren’t as accurate as they would like for this section.

We have transcribed the stones as accurately as we could and have tried to include everything on the stone.  Anything you see in ( ) under the transcriptions is stuff we've added in ourselves.  If you don't see your friend or loved one in this transcription then go and look on our name listing (that should be located at the same website you found this listing at) and it will tell you what section to look into to find your request.

You can e-mail us for any questions, requests, or corrections.  Also if you have an obit or additional information on anyone you see here please e-mail us and let us know.  We like to include additional information when we know it.

Again this is only one section of 24 out in Friendship Cemetery. We began transcribing this cemetery back in 2002 and have since little by little gotten it over ¾ of the way done. Some sections in headstone photos and others haven’t gotten the photos yet.

Thanks,

Robert and Rosa Cline
