This little family cemetery is about seven miles south of Prairie Grove, Arkansas. On the Cove Creek road[1] on the old Simpson place now owned by Vol Reed. It contains something like 50 graves of which only 23 have stones to identify those who lie there. I was in search of the graves of Jeremiah and Barsheba Brewster, for I have been told that they are buried there but they had no stones, except very old rock enclosures covered with slabs. There are about eight graves of this type, 15 with just sandstone markers.

In one very old iron fence enclosure were the graves of Jane W. Simpson, born April 23 1795, and Hugh Simpson, born 1817, died 1852. Near the enclosure are J.M. Simpson, born 1818, died 1898, and wife Mary Simpson, born 1821, died July 31, 1900.

In a new fenced enclosure are the Baker Family: Malinda Baker, born Jan. 20 1857; died Feb. 14, 1926; Wm. George Baker, born Oct. 17. 1847, Alvin Baker, 1879-1921; Stella Baker, 1897-1918; Anderson Baker 1886-1887; Isabelle Baker, 1874-1875.
