Edyth Fortune

Edyth Fortune, 90, of Mountain View died Sept. 22, 2002 at Newport.

Born Sept. 14, 1912 at Elizabeth, she was a housewife and a member of the Church of Christ in Ben.

Survivors include serveral nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mattie Finley; her husband, Herman Fortune; three brothers, Fred, Harm, and Steve Finley; and a sister Margaret Lawrence.

Graveside funeral services were Sept. 24, at Chalybeate Springs Cemetery, with the Rev Elmer Gingerich officiating. Roller Crouch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Carol Gengerich, Mark Gingerich, Teddy Turtle, Junior Watters Claudie Watters and Willard Mast."
