The City of Benton and
developers of the Long Hills subdivision are possibly about to close off the
only access to this cemetery by building houses right up against the wall of
the cemetery. The small lane that runs along the property edge has been there
for many, many years.

Well it seems as if we have won this
one. I got a call from Longhills
Development INC, and they assured me there will be access provided of at least 15
feet to get to the cemetery. At least
we have assurance this historic cemetery will be open!
