Cassville Cemetery

Cassville Community, Newton County, Arkansas

"Gone But Not Forgotten"

Transcribed June 19,2002

By Robert & Rosa Cline

This cemetery is located right off of Highway 21/16,  located between Fallsville and Edwards Junction.  If you go from Edwards Junction, you will turn to the right onto the dirt road, and you will see Cassville Church, and the cemetery is there beside it. (The dirt road is closer to Edwards Junction than it is to Fallsville.)

Many of the unmarked graves have been "marked" with a simple stone with a last name only or the name if known, so probably not too many gaves are going to be here that are unmarked. I have a headstone picture for all stones (readable or not) so if you would like a copy of one contact us and we will scan it for you. In the transcription done in 1986, they say there are 53 unmarked graves. I think they were counting the foot markers, for most of the graves have small standing stones that have no markings on them, but they are the foot markers, and most of the "unmarked" graves have now been marked with small stones.

I have made an alphabetical listing at first to show everyone there, then under the index is the actual transcription on the stones. If I know anything about the person I have added additional information under the transcription, and I will put this in ( ).  I have a few obits of the people there, so if you have family out there, and would like to get in touch with me for additional information, or to correct information here, please feel free to contact us.
