Swan Lake, Jefferson

I am writing you to let you know about
a cemetery that has mostly been destroyed by someone. It is on Swan Lake
Rd off Ar. Hwy 88 abt.16 miles SE of Altheimer, near
Cornerstone, which is in Jefferson County, Ark.
The precious few stones left
are mostly those of folks unknown to me but were found while looking
for our Grandmother who died while living at Swan Lake. The last
names on the 5 left are all different. It appears to have been a
nice size cemetery, and several indents around this site are still visible. This
has got to have been done by big farm equipment. It had the misfortune to be
bordering a huge crop field. It also had two huge trees in it at one time. The
bases have been burned and the charred remains are still there. It does
not appear that these were pushed up to allow for a crop, so I have no idea why
they would honor the area but pill the stones. I hope it remains there,
and I will place these photos on find-a-grave
for future families who may want to locate their love ones..
The bottom of this stone reads; NKE Violo
Temple 983, Lake Farm, Ark.
The bottom of
this stone reads; Morning Starr Chamber, 2560 Swan Lake, Ark.
The bottom of this stone reads; ? of Sweden Chamber, Sweden, Ark.
(The rest of this stone was broken
off and none of the pieces were to be found)
The top of the stone
F C B inside lines and circled with K of P under it.
