The Buzzard Roost and
Tracy Cemeteries were moved in 1943 to make room for the Norfork Lake and
combined to make one. This cemetery was lost to the trees and bushes for years
and very hard to find. In 2002
someone did some cleaning and burning. All markers and pieces of markers
found lying around were laid against the fence. One wooden marker was standing
and someone had placed a stone for Dora Baker in the last few years. These
names were taken from the Corps of Engineer’s list, there were no dates. There
were 33 graves moved that were marked unknown on this list. Some of the
comments are mine and some are from the list. The numbers on the right are the
numbers were the grave was placed.
