The new list is a Yahoo! Group, which means you can post either via e-mail or on the web site. There is also a chat room in case we'd like to start having real-time chats on a regular basis. Here is how to subscribe to the new list: Send mail to [email protected] Just put the word SUBSCRIBE in your subject line and send the mail. You'll get a confirmation e-mail back in a few minutes. Follow the instructions in that confirmation mail to get subscribed. Once you are subscribed, you can post to the list in one of two ways: (1) Send e-mail to [email protected] or (2) Post from that group's web site: groups.yahoo.com/group/arbradle_chat/ You can also choose to receive mail in list mode, in digest mode, or no mail (read the messages at the web site). If you want to read messages on the web site, you will need to create a Yahoo ID if you don't already have one. Please note: This group is NOT intended to replace ARBRADLE. It is intended as a place for members to "chit-chat" about NON-GENEALOGY topics, to ask questions about fishing holes, driving routes, places to stay or things to do and whatever else they want. (smile) Also realize that not everyone from ARBRADLE will subscribe to the new chat list, so there are bound to be fewer members on the new list. I hope that this will help to make everyone happy -- we will keep ARBRADLE for discussions of genealogy and family history, and those who just want to "Chat" with their Bradley County friends and cousins will have a separate place to do that.
