Looking for any info on William B. WOOD (or poss. John WOOD) and Margaret BURST(?) parents of my 2-g grandfather Walter Herman WOOD (b. Nov 20 1838 in White River, Arkansas Co.). Other Children of these 2: Margaret Anna b. 1818; Nancy b. 1819; George W. b. 1820; Twins Harmon B. and Harrison H. b. 1822; Katharine b. 1824; Emily b. 1827; mary Jane b. 1828; Harriet b. 1830; David b. 1831; Henrietta b. 1834; Warren b. 1836; Jasper b. 1841; Morgan b. 1843. William was then married again, and had 15 more children, including John b. 1849 and William Thomas b. 1850. do not know how many of these births other than Walter were born in White River. William was a Presbyterian circuit rider (preacher) in Arkansas; he was born in 1796 in Gloversville, NY as far as we know. The Woods returned to the north by the start of the Civil War, as Walter, David, & Harmon served in the Union Army in Illinois regiments. Any related info would be hugely appreciated...

DANIEL/Perry Co, TN/1860 census Arkansas Co/AR Wiley Daniel and wife, formerly Janes Meadows of Bedford Co, TN, are in the 1850 census of Arkansas Co, AR. I believe there is a good chance that Wiley is a brother of my Woodson Daniel, born 1800 NC and would like to contact descendants. I would appreciate it if anyone could tell me if Wiley and Jane Daniel were still in Arkansas Co in 1860.

I am interested in any information about the community of Goldman in Arkansas County. Goldman was my maiden name and I know my great-grandfather, Andrew Goldman, was in Poinsett County in 1860. We have not been able to locate him in 1870. We are wondering about the origins of the community and whether he may have had relatives there. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to locate information on an Isaac Watkins b. abt 1777 VA, who may have been in what is now Washington Co. as early as 1810. He m. Margaret b. abt 1783 GA and had 2 children (names unk) before 1820. David was b. Dec 1820, Elizabeth 1823 Washington Co., Robert 1825 Washington Co., and Hollet (Hollis) b. 1826 Washington Co. Isaac d. before 1830 census which showed Margaret and 6 children. In 1840 she was m. to Alexander S. W. Scott and had 2 more children before leaving AR without Scott by 1850 for Newton Co. MO.
