Would like to correspond with anyone who might have info on Reuben Fletcher who was in Arkansas County 1880, Old RIver Twp, census and had entered the Civil War while in that county. Have his papers. He and wife Helen with the following children, Rubin 18, Helen 13, Dix Ann 10 & James 4. Wife Helen was in 1900 Jefferson County Ar. census as head of household. Where & when did Reuben die. Where is he buried. Would appreciate any info.

LOE,m. Jonathan H. ALTER, 22 Dec, 1887 was born in Dewitt, Arkansas Co., AR, 4 July, 1892;; I believe the Paxton, Loe and Alters of Dewitt are her relatives and would like contact to share info.

Looking for information on George W. MELIZA. Born 17 Sep 1838, Henry Co, Ind. Enlisted in Co. I, 107th Ill. Vol Infantry, 2 August 1862. Deserted 1863. Re-enlisted 19 Jan 1865 under the name George W. LYONS, Co. A, 144th Indiana Vol Inf. In February 1881 George was "down in Arkansas this winter trapping & hunting for a living." He filed for a pension 16 Feb 1891 giving his residence as Stuttgart, Arkansas. He was still in Stuttgart in 1898. In 1904 he was in Piatt Co., Ill. There is a George MELIZA on the 1880 Census of DeWitt Co., Illinois, aged 24 (b. ca 1856), born in Illinois, father and mother born in Arkansas. Is this a son, even though George stated he was not married nor had children when he applied for a pension. He seems to have disappeared after 1904. Am looking for any evidence of his residency in Stuttgart and any possible family that could be buried there.

Ruth(TURNER) SCRUGGS. Searching for brothers and sisters of my father John Oliver TURNER. In my mother's (Claudia Marietta (NASH) TURNER) personal belongs, there was a clipping from a Little Rock newspaper, praising Ruth SCRUGGS for her work as "stenographer to the missionary secretary of the Baptist State Convention at Little Rock." and mourning her sudden death, at 31 yrs.on Nov.16,1926. The item was written by Ella Mae Jackson KERR. Her husband was Eric P. SCRUGGS, and she had 2 children a daughter 3, and a son 5. She was the daughter of Robert TURNER (birthplace unknown)and Ella (DAVIS) TURNER (birthplace near Conway). Ruth was born in Arkansas on June 2, 1895. She died in Bayou Meto, Arkansas County, AR. I believe that Robert TURNER is my father's brother and Ruth was his neice, my cousin. My grandfather Vines TURNER had a son 3mos. old in 1870 named Robert. My father died when I was 3, and his kin died with him. I would appreciate help in locating his siblings and their families.

Seeking info on Andrew Millidge HESTER b 5 Jun 1823 GA, m 22 May 1849 Leake Co MS to Matilda JOHNSON. He is known to be at Prestons Bluff (Preston Ferry?), Arkansas Co in 1872. He was s/o Elijah & Frances (Malone) Hester who migrated from GA to Madison Co MS in 1828. I am looking for any descendants of Abraham Raimer, Ramer,Raymer who came to this area ca/1802 from Kentucky. He died in Arkansas County area in 1809. At least one son-Phillip, lived in Phillips County into the 1830's or later. Any help on this old family will be appreciated.
