The Black Cemeteries Uncovered Project, "Connecting The Past" was initiated to research, identify, collect and preserve the history of African American cemeteries within the state of Arkansas. We are currently in the third phase of this project.

Youth Essay Competition

The goal of this project is to promote self-confidence in youths through education and research by providing opportunities to deserving youths who have an interest in history. Understanding history allows us to support our communities and improve our society.
