My branch of the Hunter family came from Graffock, Parish of Rye, Donegal Co, Ireland. William Hunter and Sarah Earle immigrated from Ireland in 1834 and settled in Amaranth Township. Just to confuse researchers there was more than one Hunter family in the Dufferin County area. Thanks to Nina Black and her extensive research she has helped bring together family members.
Listed below are some generic resources for Canadian genealogical research. This is not a comprehensive list.
The above listed resources are an excellent place to put primary source documentation for other researchers. Documentation of all information on a family is crucial. Misinformation can cause other researchers years of frustration and they will never again trust the information that you send to them.
