Seeking a death date for Fannie Jernigan Krotzer in Walker County. Fannie was the wife of Roy Hunt Krotzer and died sometime prior to 1928. She is thought to be buried in the Gary Cemetery in Parrish. She should be buried with Roy and his second wife Rosanna (1966). Also thought to be buried in the family plot is an infant grandchild. Need birth and death dates for Fannies if found.

Hi Folks!

My name is William C. Boling, and I am researching my Atkins' family roots in Walker Co., AL, and Fayette Co., AL area, and elsewhere. I started this search several years ago, but had to stop due to health problems. By the Grace of God, I am now able to continue with my research.

If Anyone has Any information on Joseph Atkins, Sr., whose 1st spouce was, Mary Jane Tittle, and his 2nd wife was Sarah Wade, I sure would appreciate a contact from you via this medium. I have some information, but a great deal of it is in conflict. I am hoping someone out there has information with facts that can assist me in gathering all the correct information I can on Joseph Atkins, Sr., and allied families. This includes Joseph Atkins' father and mother, and back as far as it can be taken. I would really like to have any information on the Atkins' families in the AL, GA, MS, NC, SC, VA areas, etc.

My G Grandparents are Emanuel Green and Mary Jane (Tittle) Atkins, Walker Co., AL. My Grandparents are James Joseph "Jim," and Nettie Wayne (Masters) Atkins. My mother, Willodene (Atkins) Boling, is the youngest of their eleven children, and is the only living sibling. She has Alziemer's, and is not doing that well. She has no memories of her family or self.

I was born in Carbon Hill, Walker Co., AL, but moved away at a very young age, as my dad was in the military. I have exhausted all the reference points that I have, and seek any and all who may know something about my Atkins' family heritage.

When I first started this adventure, several people contacted me with what information they had. This was Greatly appreciated and useful. Again, I have reached sort of an impass, and need your help.

My name is John Wilcox.

I was born in Oakman Alabama but have lived in England since 1951.

Researching my Family History is not so easy from the 'other side of the pond' so when I found the Walker County website it was like striking gold.

May I offer my thanks through you to all the contributors to this site especially Jonah Gulledge and Family who did such a fine job at the Day Cemetery in Oakman.

I am still searching for information on the William Roland Minor family that lived in the Walker county area from about the late 1830's. There

were ten children in the family of William Roland and Susannah Hutto.

Two of the sons were killed in the Civil War. One of the sons, Enoch was my gggrandfather.

I am trying to find a qualified, reasonable, researcher in the Walker/Blount County area. The main places I am interested in are Arkadelphia, Jasper, Hanby's Mill, Twp 12, Walker County, in the 1830/1840 GA and 1860/70/80 timeframe. I am looking for McNeals from this area, specifically the family of James McNeal, physician, wife Eliza ch: William Cicero, John, Henry, Middleton, Greason. They were all born in GA. In 1850 census, they are listed as McKeal living in Subdivision No. 18, Blount County; in 1860 they are living in Arkadelphia, Eastern Division, Walker County AL. In 1900, there is a Mid L. McNeal living in Bartonville, Walker Co. In 1910 Walker Co. AL, there is a Mid L. McNeal and family. In 1920 Mid L. McNeal is a widower living in Talledega Co. I give you the above so you do not need to replicate what I and others have already done.

I would like to know what happened to this family. I believe the son Wm. Cicero is the one in the Civil War 28th Co. L, enlisted Jasper, AL - I do have his Civil War record. He was captured sent to Rock Island Prison, but to our knowledge did not return home. I cannot find any of the family after the 1860 census other than a Mid L. McNeal, who I think is a son of Henry, noted above. I found online a Mid (Middleton) Lowery McNeal who married a Sarah C. Aaron - children are Henry b. Mar 1883 and James H. b. abt. 1886 both Walker County AL. I found online info from the Blount Co. New & Dispatch, Blountsville info about a J. H. McNeal of Hanby's mill running for Tax Collector in 1888. There are other McNeal families in the area. Whether they are related to James McNeal I do not know, ***but I want to clarify that the family of James and Eliza McNeal and sons are my primary focus.***. I do not know what family they are in Georgia in 1840 census, possibly Hall Co. GA, as wife/children names are not listed. It is possible there were other children who had left home by 1850 census.

Lucinda Ray married Thomas M Abel/Ables in 1862 in Winston co Al.Thomas M Abel died Nov 1,1918 in Jasper Al (Walker co) I am trying to find when and where his wife Lucinda Ray Abel died.They were living in Fayette co Al in the Glen Allen Al area in the 1900 census and I believe she died shortly after that.
