Davis Cemetery

Some of the early settlers that are buried there is William Davis 1781-1867 (my 4th GT. grandfather) and Robert Davis 1806-1886, (my 3rd Gt. grandfather) along with there wives. Other are John Martin Key 1805-1854 and his two wives . Joshua Benton Grace who died in 1875 at the age of 43.  In 1998 I found 25 Marked graves and 13 unmarked grave. About 10 years ago several people, which was lead by Vera Bell Herzig Fike who was in her 80's, went to the cemetery and cleaned most of it off. The property is now leased by a hunting club, who has a locked gate at the Coal Valley Road and you have to walk 0.9 mile to the cemetery
