History of the 12th Alabama Volunteer Infantry by Robert Emery Park. This book was written by Mr. Park shortly after the war. He served as Captain of the regiment which was made up of men from Macon, GA, and Jewish merchants from Mobile, AL. It is a fascinating look at anti-semitism in the Civil War as this regiment was generally charged with following along after the great battles and burying the dead.
