My family is originally from Western Pennsylvania from Westmoreland, Armstrong, and Indiana counties. The families that I research most are Allshouse, Black, McGaughey, and Snyder in these counties.

• Allshouse - Allied with Patterson, Johnston, Frantz, Ringer, Salsgiver, Armstrong, Kimmel, Guthrie and Shomp
• Black - Allied with Allshouse, Baker, Blystone, Foutz, Hawk, Henry, Miller, Sproul, and Zerfoss
• McGaughey - Allied with Syder, Daugherty, Painter, Miller, Rankin, Cochran, and Starrey
• Snyder - Allied with McGaughey, Varner, Autner, Bee, McKensie, Horner, Thomas and Dillon
