    James F. Hardin Family Bible

    Introduction

James F. Hardin and wife, Rebecca Rogers Hardin, lived in Limestone County, Alabama on their farmland near Ardmore in the 1800s.  James and Rebecca’s children also resided in the Ardmore area as adults.  This Bible contains recordings for three generations, and is in the possession of Mary Virginia Johnson Barnes of Nashville, Tennessee, a great-great granddaughter of James F. Hardin.  The 1874 publication date and the name in the flyleaf would indicate that the Bible originally belonged to James and Rebecca’s son, William Henry Hardin.
