McCleskey Family Bible Record

This is a transcription of two old sheets of paper containing handwritten birth and death information. Based on the style of handwriting, I would guess they date to about the late 1800’s. All information seems to have been written at the same time, perhaps copied from another source, or maybe just written from memory. The sheets were owned by Mary McCleskey Boling (May 23, 1856, Alabama – 1919, Nashville, Tennessee) and passed down to her grandson James Hallbert Boling. He believed them to be in her handwriting. David C. McCleskey and Elizabeth A. L. McCleskey (listed below) were Mary’s parents; they were married in Lawrence County, Alabama in 1850 and are listed on the 1850 census for that county as well.
