Eliza Jane was believed to be 1/4 Cherokee Indian, probably from Indian Territory, Georgia. She most likely died sometime before 1890 because between 1890-1900,
Tillman had 2 more wives. Some of their children and grandchildren are buried next to Tillman at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Lauderdale County, AL.
